Arrangements brings together unstaged photographs of ordinary public spaces. I’m interested in the peculiar logic of how these places are organized, controlled, and used, and in the distance between how they’re meant to function and what actually happens in them.
Signs, barriers, furniture, and infrastructure suggest the intentions of people who aren’t there to explain them. Instructions with no author. Rules with no one there to enforce them.
The photographs are descriptive and deadpan. The humour belongs to the places themselves.
